Genomics in Aquaculture 2026

Split, Croatia | 4 - 6 May 2026

Hosted by the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries

Venue: Spinit Technology Park

We are pleased to invite you to the 8th Genomics in Aquaculture (GIA) Symposium, which will be held in Split, Croatia, in May 2026. This international symposium continues the tradition of showcasing the latest research and innovation in the fast-evolving field of aquaculture genomics.

GIA 2026 will cover a broad range of topics applying cutting-edge omics technologies—including genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics, genome editing, and bioinformatics—to address key challenges and opportunities in aquaculture. The event aims to bring together leading scientists, early-career researchers, and industry professionals to explore how genomic tools are transforming the sustainability, productivity, and resilience of aquaculture systems.

The symposium will be hosted by the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, a leading Croatian research institution with expertise in marine biology, fisheries, and aquaculture. The venue for GIA 2026 is the Spinit Technology Park, a state-of-the-art innovation hub, offering excellent facilities for scientific exchange and collaboration.

We warmly welcome you to Split, a coastal city where science, culture, and the Mediterranean spirit come together.
