My research is in the field of marine ecology and is mostly related to bivalve ecology and sclerochronology, including analysis of tissue, shell growth increment structures and shell geochemistry. Special attention is devoted to long living, commercially important and protected bivalve species. I am also interested in bivalve aquaculture and fisheries and in collaboration with collegues from the home Institute I participate in research related to fish ecology and fisheries.
