UNDERGRADUATE THESIS DEFENSE

Niko Bujas successfully defended his thesis “Age structure and growth of bivalve Unio crassus in different environmental conditions” at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Zagreb. His research was dealing with growth patterns of endangered freshwater bivalve species. Samples were collected in a framework of the HRZZ project METABIOM (PI Zrinka Dragun), while samples were analysed in a framework of our BIVACME project.

PHD THESIS DEFENDED!

Hana Uvanović, PhD student financed by the Croatian Science Foundation, defended her thesis in Oceanography at the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb. Hana worked on two commercially important clam species, Callista chione and Venus verrucosa, analysing shell geochemistry and growth dynamics. Congratulations!

FESTIVAL OF SCIENCE 2022

Presentation of activities and research conducted in a framework of BivACME project at the Festival of Science in Split. This year our stage, for a wonderful day, was research vessel of the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries - Bios DVA. Children from kindergraden and elementary schools, as well as highschool and university students, families and occassional tourist came for a visit.
