August 2020: A bunch of nice results published during covid-19 summer
- Three papers coming from the ADIOS project are published in decent (Q1) journals: Climate Dynamics x2, JGR-Oceans :)
February 2020: AdriSC future climate surrogate simulation initiated
- At the beginning of February 2020 the AdriSC surrogate simulation of the future climate (RCP8.5, 2070-2100) with the pseudo-global warming approach has been initiated. Simulation will last for 17 months, as for the present climate simulation. Keep calm and stay in ECMWF :)
October 2019: Finished AdriSC present-climate simulation (1987-2017)
- After almost 17 months of "torturing" 260 procesors on ECMWF supercomputers, AdriSC present-climate (1987-2017) simulation finally finished!!! Now is the time for verification and exploitation :)

20-24 May 2019: HyMeX Workshop in Split
- 12th HyMeX Workshop was held in Split in Hotel Park, organised by the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries and Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service. Thanks to all people engaged in organisational activities :)

- ADIOS spring cruise has been carried out over the ADIOS polygon, in collaboration with projects JADMON i EUWFDMON. Thanks to all researchers and staff engaged in data collection :)
5 April 2019: ADIOS annual meeting
- Annual meeting of the ADIOS project team in ogranised in the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries in Split. Almost all project team members and a few potential collaborators participated on the meeting, which encompassed discussion on project activities in the first two years of the project and plans for the next two years.
6-9 November 2018: ADIOS autumn cruise
- Following the schedule, ADIOS autumn cruise has been carried out over the ADIOS polygon. Thanks to all researchers and staff engaged in data collection :)

- ADIOS summer cruise has been executed over the ADIOS polygon, in collaboration with project JADMON. Thanks to all researchers and staff engaged in data collection :)
1 June 2018: ADIOS evaluation run started
- After the setup of the ADRISC modelling suite (WRF/ROMS), 30-year high-resolution Adriatic simulation (1987-2017) start to run at the ECMWF supercomputers. The simulation is expected to be finished in July 2019. Great job of Clea Denamiel :)
17-21 May 2018: ADIOS spring cruise
- ADIOS spring cruise has been executed over the ADIOS polygon, extended with a few stations to the southern Adriatic. This and prevoius ADIOS cruise were executed in a short time to capture thedense water outflow from the northern Adriatic. Thanks to all researchers and staff engaged in data collection :)

06-07 December 2017: ADIOS winter cruise
- In collaboration with MESSI project, ADIOS winter cruise has been executed over the ADIOS polygon, despite technical problems and bad weather at sea. Thanks to all researchers and staff engaged in data collection :)
28 November 2017: Approved ECMWF Special Project
- Project "The Adriatic decadal and inter-annual oscillations: modelling component" has been approved, following European Centre for Middle-range Forecast (ECMWF) Call for Special Projects :) The project will grant the usage of ECMWF supercomputing facilities necessary for realisation of the fourth ADIOS specific objective.

17 May 2017: ADIOS kick-off meeting
- ADIOS kick-off meeting has been organized in the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, Split, on 17 May 2017. Almost all project team members and a few potential collaborators participated on the meeting, which encompassed discussion on project activities, particularly as planned for the first project year.
23-26 March 2017: The very first ADIOS cruise
- Just three days after the beginning of the project, the first ADIOS cruise has been carried on along the ADIOS polygon, in collaboration with MESSI project.
