Two members of ESAmar project attended the forty-fourth session of the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) and the eleventh session of the Committee on Administration and Finance (CAF). During the session, the Commission adopted measures to protect juveniles of priority species as well as a minimum conservation reference size for priority stocks in the Mediterranean Sea and a fishing effort regime for key demersal stocks in the Adriatic Sea. Furthermore, Commission also decided to grant permanent protection for the Jabuka/Pomo Pit which was proposed due to results obtained within ESAmar and other scientific projects done in this area by the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries.
