On 17th June 2021 we organised Skype meeting with all our consultants. During the meeting we presented and analysed all data that we obtained via four scientific surveys. Future work (writing of scientific paper) has been discussed and planned.

First results of fish egg DNA barcoding

Fish eggs were collected through two scientific surveys (2019, 2020) in the warmer part of the year. DNA barcoding of those fish eggs reveals that they belonged to 27 different fish species.

Third scientific survey

Third scientific survey with scientific vessel BIOS DVA successfully started. All samples (ichthyoplankton, juvenile and adult fish specimens, temperature, salinity) are collected and transferred to the laboratory where they will be analysed.

Presentation of ESAmar up to date results to the fisherman via Skype

We were invited to presents some of the results obtained via ESAmar project to a group of fisherman and other colleges involved in ITACA project (Interreg ITA-CRO). At the workshop we presented spatial-temporal distribution of early developmental stages of anchovies in the eastern Adriatic along with the first results of DNA barcoding obtained through ESAmar project.
