As part of the Science Comes to Town project, IOF organised the public event “Science on Marjan Hill”, bringing together scientists from the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, the University of Split, the Centre of Excellence of Split-Dalmatia County, the Sunce Association, the Marko Marulić City Library, the Natural History Museum and other institutions. The POPOyster project was also presented during the event. Children had the opportunity to draw marine organisms on oyster shells, imagining the species that could inhabit restored oyster reefs. Through this creative activity, they learned about the importance of oyster reefs in supporting marine biodiversity.
