Travel to Split

By plane:

Split Airport (Zračna luka Split, code: SPU) is located 25 km from the city centre. There is a wide selection of airlines companies and some of them offer direct flights to Split. You can buy a ticket using some of the airline ticket services or you can buy ticket through Croatia Airlines office in Split at spuap@croatiaairlines.hr or by calling their numbers +385 21 203-373 and +385 21 203-305.

The airport is connected by shuttle bus with Split main bus terminal (Autobusni kolodvor Split) located in the city centre. The ride lasts around 30 minutes and a one-way ticket costs 30 HRK (≈ 4 €). You can buy a ticket from the driver but only in HRK (there are a bank and exchange office in the airport building) or you can buy it online.

The taxi fare from the Airport to the city centre ranges from 200 HRK to 400 HRK. A short list of the taxi companies is given later and most of them you can order online.

Transfer:
For those arriving by plane, the Waterman Svpetrus Resort offers a transfer from the airport to the hotel and vice versa with prior notice and reservation. The price is 360 HRK (cca 50,00 €) per person in one direction. The van can accommodate 8 people maximum. Payment is directly to the driver. There is an additional charge for ferry ticket of 30 HRK (cca 4,00 €) per person in one direction.

By car:

If you are coming by car and want to come to Split directly we suggest A1 highway, which is part of international routes E65 and E71. Use the exit Dugopolje and then turn on your GPS. If you want to do some sightseeing than use D1 and/or D8 state rods…you will probably drive slowly and arrive later but it is free of charge. For those who like it green list of charging stations for the electric car can be found here ….and in Croatia is still free to charge the electric car.

By bus:

Split is well connected with all cities in Croatia and the timetable is available here. For the international destination please ask directly by sending mail on info@ak-split.hr. There is also a Flixbus.

By Taxi:

Taxi is the easiest but generally the most expensive option. Split has a wide selection of taxi companies and most of them you could order a ride online:

By train:

This is not maybe the best way to travel to Split but if you enjoy trains like Sheldon you can found all information on the http://www.hzpp.hr/en and http://www.interrail.eu.
